Step 1: Pick a design or share a reference
Start in one of two ways. You can choose an existing design and change its material or size, or you can share a reference photo or sketch for a completely new piece.
For a new design at ASPIRI, use Customize Your Design on aspiri.in. A custom design fee of Rs. 400 is collected before designing begins, and it is adjusted against your final invoice if you place the order. If you decide not to go ahead, the fee is not refunded.
Step 2: Choose the metal and gold purity
The metal decides how the piece looks, how it wears every day and what it costs.

Gold vermeil |
Gold over 925 sterling silver |

14KT gold |
58.5% |
Daily wear with a warmer gold tone |
|
18KT gold |
75% |
The richest colour, for occasions and heirlooms |
For a ring or bracelet you will wear every day, 9KT or 14KT gold holds up better than 18KT, which is softer.
Step 3: Choose the stone

• Lab-grown diamond: a real diamond with the same properties as a mined diamond, at a lower price. Choose it if you want a bigger stone for your budget.
• Natural diamond: a mined diamond. Choose it for heirloom value.
• Moissanite: a different stone, made of silicon carbide, with high sparkle. Choose it for large statement pieces at the lowest cost.
At ASPIRI, the price updates as you change the metal and stone, so you can compare options before you decide.
Step 4: Confirm size and fit
Size is the most common reason a customised piece does not feel right. Measure a ring, bracelet or chain that already fits the wearer, in millimetres. Measure rings in the middle of the day, because fingers swell in heat and in the evening. If you are between two sizes, choose the larger one, especially for wider bands.
Step 5: Approve the design, then pay the balance
Before production starts, check the final design from every angle, not just the front. Minor revisions are included at ASPIRI; major changes may cost extra. Production begins only after you approve the final design and the remaining payment is received.
What to check before you pay
• BIS hallmark: gold jewellery should carry the BIS mark, a purity mark (375, 585 or 750) and a 6-digit HUID, which you can verify on the BIS CARE app.
• Stone certificate: ASPIRI diamond jewellery comes with the ASPIRI Certificate.
• Written policy: read the custom design, return and exchange terms.
• Contact details: a registered business with an address and phone number.
How long does custom jewellery take?
It depends on the design, the stones and the gold purity. At ASPIRI, the timeline is confirmed when you approve the final design, because production starts only at that point.
Can customised jewellery be returned?
Customised jewellery is made for one buyer, so most brands do not accept returns on it. At ASPIRI, customised orders are not returnable, but they are eligible for lifetime exchange and buyback, with values that depend on the material. Ready designs that are eligible come with 7-day money back. Read the full return policy before you order.

Frequently asked questions
Can I customise gold jewellery online?
- Yes. You can choose the design, metal, gold purity, stone and size online, then approve the final design before it is made.
How much does it cost to customise jewellery?
- The price depends on the gold purity, weight, stone type and design. At ASPIRI, a new design starts with a Rs. 400 custom design fee, which is adjusted against your final invoice.
Which gold is best for custom jewellery for daily wear?
- 9KT or 14KT gold. Both are harder than 18KT gold, so they resist scratches and bending better.
Can I change the design after approving it?
- Production starts after approval, so check the design carefully first. Minor revisions before approval are included at ASPIRI.
Is custom gold jewellery hallmarked?
- It should be. ASPIRI gold jewellery is BIS hallmarked with a 6-digit HUID code you can verify on the BIS CARE app.
